COVID-19 Updates

Dear Valued Customers,

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19, the way the world executes businesses have changed. The necessity for virtual services and flexibility has inspired us to think and operate differently. Woori America Bank continues to strive to meet the needs of our valued customers and provide the highest of quality financial services possible. And as our client needs evolved, we have introduced new ways to service you at the branches and through our expanded convenient online services.

As of today, all Woori America Bank branches are open, plus our 24/7 internet/mobile app banking is conveniently available for you to access our banking services. The safety and well-being of our customer, our employees and the communities we serve are our top priority and we will continue to work with those impacted, providing solution that makes sense for meeting each particular need.

1. Banking Services

All Woori America Bank Branch/LPO operation hours are as follows:

Our face mask policy has been updated in accordance with New York State guidelines.

Safety Measures

If you are fully vaccinated, a mask is recommended.
If you are not fully vaccinated, a mask is required.

What we're doing to keep our members safe.

The safety of our members and staff is our top priority. We follow all CDC guidelines, including the sanitization of the branches, and have adopted the following health and safety protocols:

    • 6 foot enforced social distancing
    • Hand sanitizer is available in the lobby
    • Appointments are not required, but they are recommended.

2. Different Ways You Can Bank with Us

Consider taking advantage of our different ways to Bank with us:

  • Branch Teller and Customer Service Representatives are available for full banking service
  • Deposit a check: Snap a picture of it using the “Deposits” option on the Woori America Bank Mobile Bank app.
  • Pay bills and transfer money: Use our expanded “Transfer & Pay” option on the Woori America Bank Mobile Bank app and www.wooriamericabank.com to pay your bills and transfer money. Ask about our newly deployed “A2A” and “P2P” payment options which provide more flexibilities for you to move money.
  • See your transactions: Use the Woori America Bank Mobile Bank app and www.wooriamericabank.com to review all your transactions.

3. Banking Fee Waiver Program

In consideration of the on-going COVID-19 Pandemic event, the Bank is extending the Banking Fee Waivers Program until further notice. Please get in touch with our branch representative or any of our customer service representatives to inquire about the program which include the following:

  • Overdraft Fees Waiver
  • ATM Fees Waiver
  • CD Early Withdrawal Penalty Fee Wavier
  • Credit Card Late Payment Fee Waiver

4. SBA Paycheck Protection Program

The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) ended on May 31, 2021

Apply for PPP Loan Forgiveness

A borrower can apply for forgiveness once all loan proceeds for which the borrower is requesting forgiveness have been used. Borrowers can apply for forgiveness any time up to the maturity date of the loan. If borrowers do not apply for forgiveness within 10 months after the last day of the covered period, then PPP loan payments are no longer deferred, and borrowers will begin making loan payments to their PPP lender.

First Draw PPP loans made to eligible borrowers qualify for full loan forgiveness if during the 8- to 24-week covered period following loan disbursement.

Second Draw PPP loans made to eligible borrowers also qualify for full loan forgiveness if during the 8- to 24-week covered period following loan disbursement.

There are important guidelines from the SBA on how you spend PPP funds and your eligibility for loan forgiveness.

  • All or some portion of the loan principal and accrued interest can be forgiven if you use the loan funds for purposes that fully meet the forgiveness requirements issued by the SBA.
  • The amount of your loan that is forgiven may be reduced if you do not completely follow the requirements.
  • The actual amount of the forgiveness will depend, in part, on your use of all of the loan funds for forgivable purposes and whether you maintain employee and compensation levels during the required periods according to the CARES Act, the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act (PPPFA), recently-enacted legislation, and SBA rules.

We recommend that borrowers carefully review the CARES Act, PPPFA, recently enacted legislation and SBA rules, and consult with their attorney, accountant or other professional advisor(s) as they consider use of funds and their particular situations.

5. Other Financial Assistance

We are continuing to provide other Financial Assistance Program to all our valued customers:

  • Residential and Consumer Borrowers short term payment deferral
  • SBA Debt Relief
